MacBook Air November 29, 2018

After numerous trips to Apple studying the merits of iPad Pro and MacBook Air I bit the bullet on November 29, 2018 and bought the MacBook Air. The system and the people involved with this acquisition of electronic wizardry are top drawer. It's no wonder this company has topped the $1,000,000,000,000.00 threshold in Market Capitalization (if only for a short period this fall; and so did Microsoft due to their focus on cloud computing). Never-the-less I chose Apple once again, and I couldn't be more pleased with their online presence through the Apple App, the smart decor and welcoming attendants at the door, the knowledgeable and helpful staff circling the products' perfectly placed items and table tops, the ease with which these attendants discuss the features without appearing to Want or Need A Sale, the simple task of committing your purchase without budging an inch to his/her hand held device, to receiving the entire purchase in an impeccable beautifully designed box in a matter of minutes without budging another inch, to having the entire purchase consummated by an expert who sets your machine with your past footprint and to top it all off with your fingerprint to start it up. 
What a treat!

 July 4, 2020 Our Azamara Cruise December 9, 2019 to January 28, 2020 Toronto to Dubai to Mumbai to Cape Town to Toronto. We met a low key but effective cruise salesperson onboard Azamara Pursuit in January, 2019 who tried to whet our whistle for another ship board adventure. That's this one, or rather two going back to back from Dubai UAE to Mumbai India to Cape Town South Africa in 35 days. We'll spend several days in Dubai and then visit Doha Qatar, Sir Bani Yas, Muscat Oman, Abu Dhabi UAE and dock in Mumbai. We'll be overnight in Mumbai and then visit Cochin India, Victoria Seychelles, Praslin Seychelles, Mombasa Kenya, Zanzibar Tanzania, Maputo Mozambique, Richards Bay South Africa, Durban South Africa, Port Elizabeth South Africa and Cape Town South Africa. December 22&23, 2019 in Muscat, Oman

December 22, 2019 Our tour to the Grand Mosque was exceptional in that it is perhaps the most important thing that one must see when visiting the sister city to Dubai, and that is the capital city Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Our driver took us through tunnels and over bridges that appeared to be quite new, and as is the case, spotless. He detailed the area’s relevancy to the Ruler's master plan as well as its Islamic religious dominance of their population which is 20% by birthright, with the expats running at 80%. He talked about the young adult when getting married is given a  significant amount to have the wedding of their dreams, a full amount of money to buy their first home, and a few additional contributions to get their young marriage off on the right foot. We are amazed at what appears to be factoids about their country. January 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2020 Seychelles to East African Coast

January 6, 2020 Azamara Quest left Mahé Island with a bang last night; they did it with a huge party that began with a fabulous Buffet dinner on the Pool Deck complete with local musicians and dancers that performed well into the night. Everyone seemed to be dancing except Terryl and me: we were bushed from the tour we had throughout Mahé and hit the sack by 22:00. Today, once again the sun rose in a majestic sky with billowing clouds overlaying the island of Praslin, and we were on the tender by 10:00 sharp. After a fifteen minute 100 passenger tender ride and an Azamara arranged air conditioned bus (the temperature had to be 88 degrees F) for another 15 minutes we were on the pristine beach that put our Maché Beach into second place. At this time I cannot include photographs of sights we have seen, sensational water colours from beach sand, turquoise water, slowly developing light to darker blues that melt against the tropical skies of this Paradise.
